Statistics

  • It is estimated that 15-20% of the population have dyslexia, a language-based learning disability. (The International Dyslexia Association, IDA)
  • Of the students with specific learning disabilities receiving special education services, 70-80% have deficits in reading. (IDA)
  • 44% of females and 57% of males with learning disabilities drop out of high school. (National Adult Literacy Survey)
